KTEC, better known as Kenny Martin, is a trailblazing innovator and software engineer with a passion for revolutionizing the radio control (RC) industry. Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Kenny combines his deep-rooted love for technology with the hands-on expertise gained through years of education and professional experience.
From a young age, Kenny displayed an innate curiosity for how things worked, often taking apart devices and reassembling them to understand their mechanics. This fascination eventually blossomed into a career dedicated to engineering, problem-solving, and creating cutting-edge solutions. Kenny pursued formal education in aviation science and computer engineering, equipping him with the theoretical foundation and technical skills needed to excel in high-tech fields.
After college, Kenny gained invaluable experience as a BMW technician, where he honed his expertise in engine systems, diagnostics, and advanced vehicle technologies. This period shaped his understanding of precision engineering and the importance of reliability and performance in mechanical systems.
Driven by his vision to bridge the gap between modern automotive advancements and the RC world, Kenny founded •K•T•E•C• Engineering. His goal is simple yet ambitious: to bring modern technologies, like engine control units (ECUs), to the RC industry, enhancing performance, efficiency, and realism in RC vehicles. Under his leadership, •K•T•E•C• has become a hub for innovation, developing scaled-down parts and systems such as cooling fans, engines, and upgraded components tailored to RC cars, trucks, boats, and aircraft. Kenny’s approach is defined by meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of his customers’ needs. He believes that the RC industry deserves the same level of technological sophistication and reliability seen in full-scale industries. As a self-taught software engineer and problem solver, Kenny thrives on tackling complex challenges and delivering solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible in RC engineering.
